Frequently asked questions

What is Birthright Israel?

Birthright Israel gives Jewish young adults the gift of a first-time, peer-group educational trip to Israel, based on the belief that it is every Jewish person’s birthright to visit Israel.

What is the Mayanot trip like?

An adventurous, educational 10-day tour of Israel: extensive touring, interactive discussions, recreational activities, and a Friday night at the Western Wall, which is a highlight for almost every participant.

Why is it free?

Birthright’s founders created the program as a gift, to strengthen participants’ Jewish identity and their connection to Israel and the Jewish people.

How safe is the trip?

Safety and security are the number one priority, and every necessary precaution is taken at all times. See Mayanot’s safety information for details.

How do I apply?

Register as soon as registration opens for the season: complete the online application, then follow Mayanot’s instructions. Make sure you choose the Chabad at UCF trip, and let us know so we can help!

Does Birthright pay for my flight to the gateway city?

No. Participants are responsible for getting themselves to the departure city.

Can my friends come too?

Absolutely. Refer your friends to sign up as early as possible and we’ll do our best to keep you in the same group.
